Che Purse
October 31st, 2006
I recently finished up my new purse. This is my version of the Poster Boy Bag from Stitch ‘n Bitch. When I saw the pattern I knew I must knit Che:

And a symbol of revolution on the other side.

This was an advanced technique for me so I decided to skip knitting in the round and knit each side separately. I added pockets to the lining. I also decided to line the straps.

I was so happy to find fabric that matched. But then Thebes found me the Perfect Button!

I like lots of storage space in my purses so I made three pockets.

Some action shots!

[…] Shortly after I made my Che Purse I realized Che’s face was starting to distort from stretching. I handfelted the purse and it turned out great. It’s a bit smaller of course but Che’s face and the dude holding the gun no longer stretch so my work is preserved. […]
