Green man leaves

Green man leaves

I’m knitting up my green yarn into leaves for my Green Man. The leaf patterns are from Nicky Epstein’s Knitted Flowers, though I’ve altered the pattern slightly.

I’m going to use up all this handspun making these. It won’t be enough for the piece because I want a forest of leaves on him. I’m pulling out most of the green in my stash for this project.

Isn’t it wonderful knitting? I’m only being half heartedly sarcastic!! Because despite the repetition, they’re easy and quick, and once you get all your different shades….it really gets exciting!!! Good Job!!!

LOVE all those little knitted leaves!!!
Do you crochet? Crocheted leaves are REALLY fast and easy to make!

Abbey-It does feel good to knit a leaf from start to finish in one sitting. It can get tedious at times though.

Ellen-While I mostly knit I still crochet from time to time. Your crocheted flowers are very pretty.
