For my Earth Moon I’m making a willow tree which is one of my favorite trees.

The trunk and roots is made from my handspun.

At first I didn’t think I needed a head and arms since the branches would cover them.

But after putting on some branches I realized I needed them to make the branches level throughout.

That’s a fun part about needlefelting. All I needed to do was rip up some yarn, put some other yarn down and then use my felt needles to tap everything down.
