Carolyn says “Two of my most popular designs are the simple and classic silk scarf and the versatile ruana wrap. For the past several years I’ve been working in the ancient Oriental techniques of shibori, which involves wrapping, stitching and pleating fabric in certain and specific ways before hand dyeing it. I also use block printing and discharge methods with my fiber pieces. Most recently I have added knitted works to my wearable art line.”

The pieces are very colorful and lovely, I.m sure they are pretty spectaular to see. Hard for me to imagine my little girl doing such intricate and detailed work. Thoughts of the old hooked rug days. Anyway, hope they are well received by the unprejudiced public. Glad you are enjoying the crafts so much, sewing grandmother and knitting and flower arranging grandmother would be so proud of you.
Good luck with the show, Love, Mom and Dad
Wow! Great work, Carolyn! I especially love the kimono. And, of course, Memphis remembered. I hope to commission you to make me some groovy yoga clothes some day. We miss you, love!
