Knitting Angst

I’m having big time knitting angst. I finished the first fingerless sleeve except for the thumb.

The first problem was that I didn’t have enough yarn left for the second one. Then I realized how loose it was. Then I wondered if I even wanted gloves this long and if the shorter ones would be better.

So I frogged the whole thing. I love the yarn so will probably knit these again albeit the short version.

With one project in time out I moved onto another. Thebes’ kilt hose is coming along, sort of. I’m doing something kind of crazy. Better to not describe it until I know the end result. Will it work at all? The foot part seems a little loose which is making me nervous.

Will it end up frogged too? I hope not. I seem to have such issues with socks.

Next up is the Fisherman Shrug. I using some handspun for this and like how it’s knitting up.

However, I’m not using the right size needles and I didn’t get gauge. And yet I’m knitting on! The back piece is somehow the correct dimensions. I don’t know if this is going to work out but hopefully it will. If it doesn’t I’ll frog it and try another pattern.

But it all seems so uncertain and frustrating and I just want a simple, relaxing knit to turn to in my time of angst. Argh!
