I finished the left side of the Aran sweater and have started the right side. It’s going faster now since I’m familiar with the pattern. I’m up to the sleeve now!

The end is in site and I’m excited. Most of my time has spent on the sweater so I haven’t gotten far on the Knitty Knucks. Working the pattern has been fun so far.

Spring has sprung around these parts and many desert flowers are in bloom. The beauty of the Southwest sometimes takes my breath away. First here’s a prickly pear cactus flower with a cicada shell nearby.

I’m not sure what these flowers are called but they’re pretty.

Today I put in my contacts. It’s been awhile since I’ve worn them and it’s so nice to go without glasses again.
